Question by nanakle@sbcglobal.net: Does anyone else have problems with getting a MS diagnosis?
I am having troubles with neurologists giving me the run-around regarding my diagnosis of multiple sclerosis. Depending on what day of the week it is our what mood the doctors are in. My LP shows greater than 5 oligoclonal bands, but noone seems impressed with the MRI of my brain. I am getting very frustrated. Anyone else with this problem?

Answer by Maggie F
Yes, mostly everybody does. It took decades for my Mom and with me, they said I was crazy etc.

It is extremely frustrating and upsetting.

It took a great MS Specialist at UCLA to diagnose me.

Lean on Me: 10 Powerful Steps to Moving Beyond Your Diagnosis and Taking Back Your Life

At the young age of thirty-three, Nancy Davis was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. The finality of the neurologist’s prognosis was devastating: within a year she would be confined to her bed and, at best, able to push the buttons on her television’s remote control. Rather than accept a hopeless prognosis, Nancy learned about her illness and, in turn, created a new life for herself with a new health regimen and an expanded range of therapeutic options.
